Trumpington Polo brings the game to the edge of Cambridge, with coaching and club play for players at every level.
A club built for newcomers as much as players
You do not need a horse, kit or any experience to start. Most of our members had never sat on a polo pony before joining.
Polo at Trumpington runs on estate grounds, using land and stabling that already form part of the working estate. Lessons are taught on club ponies, so you can try the game properly before committing to anything.
For established players, the club offers regular chukkas through the season, coaching to improve your handicap, and tournament play including our own cup.
Getting started
Beginners usually start with a one-to-one lesson covering stick and ball work at walk and trot, then move into small-sided games as confidence builds.
Membership, lesson booking, waivers and payment are all handled on the Trumpington Polo site.
